Guyana

Gerogetown GUYANA!!

After a 1 hour flight I have arrived in the Capital city of Guyana, Georgetown! Even thought I’m very happy to be here finally I’m kinda tired from all the airplane traveling. I checked into my hotel about 1 hour ago. I’m staying at Pegasus Hotel Guyana, which I heard is one of the best hotels in Guyana. It is about 11 in the morning and I feel like having lunch. I heard from the front counter that the lunch meals are amazing here at the hotel.

Just came back from lunch at the restaurant and it was amazing. I had Pear & Walnut Fuseli Pasta Tossed with sautéed onions, dolce latté cheese, double cream & fresh basil, it was a great dish but I was still not full, so I ordered myself some honey dew melon & papaya. I met this couple down at the restaurant, they are traveling as well from Ontario; they actually had family over here in Guyana and were just visiting the Hotel for a bit before they leave to stay with their family. It’s about 3pm and I feel like exploring the actual city. I’m going to head out to visit a nearby Zoo to see some animals that I never seen in my life.

The Zoo was INCREIDABLE! For only 100 Guyana money, which is about 50 cents in Canada I got to see some pretty cool mammals and animals that I have never seen before. I actually got to touch a Golden frog, GOLDEN!!

After I visited the Zoo I wanted to go see Kaiteur falls, since I heard it was amazing site to see when you’re in Guyana. I gotta say it was truly one of the best things I have ever seen in my life. You can hear the loud thundering water of the falls even before you take a glance at the actual falls. While I was there I had some great Caribbean dishes to full my stomach up.

It's now 10 pm and tomorrow morning I leave for Peru, this is me saying goodbye till next time!
